DEIJ

Our mission is to produce difference-making work, focused on urgent environmental and social issues, that provokes discussion, inspires reflection and speaks to the times with compelling storytelling that is timeless. We are committed to doing work that is rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion & justice.

Diversity

We honor, love and respect all living beings and cherish diversity. We believe in the power of bringing together a wide range of perspectives, across race, gender, sexual identity, age, ethnicity, physical and neurological diversity to create the impact necessary for meaningful change. We believe this helps us all think outside obsolete paradigms to challenge the status quo and to imagine a better world. Together we are in service to the interconnectedness of life, to the earth and her inhabitants.

Equity

We believe in taking responsibility to co-create a better world for today, and for future generations. We believe in doing the right thing for our planet and her inhabitants by living an authentic, genuine life, treating all people fairly and speaking truth to power.

The challenges we face—as a country, and as a planet—call for an unprecedented diverse collective effort. We actively work to harness the power of a diverse collective intelligence to help reverse the climate crisis and to restore harmony and balance to our world.

Inclusion

We believe in the interconnectedness of life and its ability to support our world’s shift toward global interconnectedness for all sentient beings. We recognize our planet earth as a living being and we serve to restore vibrancy and peace through proactive inclusivity and bold truth.

We publish Red Canary Magazine, an award-winning independent magazine featuring some of the best journalists and photographers with deeply reported journalism focused on environmental, sustainability and social justice issues. Our goal is to bring you difference-making work that provokes discussions, inspires reflection and speaks to the times with stories that prove timeless.

Justice

We believe there is an urgent and universal need for justice. Humans, animals and our earth all cry out for climate, economic and social justice. To meet this need, we actively partner with conscientious foundations, corporations and individuals to collectively co-create impact and amplify the voices of those already working for environmental and social justice.
